SuperScan proxy scan tutorial

SuperScan proxy scan tutorial

SuperScan is my favourite scanner, I would say it is even better than Angry IP scanner. I am using SuperScan v3.0, but there is a version 4.0 also. Download SuperScan v3.0 and install it. I think installation is easy, so I will not describe it in details. When you have successfully installed SuperScan, open it and you will see main window of SuperScan. Now you have to configure SuperScan. Press Port list setup button. You have to choose which ports you want to scan for. If you want to scan for socks proxy servers choose port 1080, if you need HTTP proxy servers choose 80, 3128, 6588, 8080 ports. Press Clear All button to uncheck all ports. Now check all ports you need. I check port 1080. When you have configured everything, press OK and save the port list.

Now you have to configure timeout values. My timeout values are - Ping: 500, Connect: 2000, Read: 4000. But these values are different for different internet connections, so you might configure it yourself.

And again, the hardest part is to find a good IP range to scan. I choose 201.13.1.1 - 201.13.10.255 for scanning socks. You use 201.13.1.1 - 201.13.255.255 and if you scan port 1080 then you will find some good socks proxy servers on this IP range. So, enter the proxy IP range and you can start scanning. Press Start and relax, because proxy scanning will take some time if you choose big range.

When scanning is finished, you have to check all IPs with open ports to see which IPs are good proxy servers. Press Save and save your scanned list. SuperScan results have unusual format, so we have to Charon and open results. Run Charon, right click on main window, Load proxies -> Import from scan results -> Superscanner, and choose the file where you saved SuperScan scan results. Charon will load all IPs with open ports. Now you have to check results and you will get working HTTP/Socks proxy servers.

From 9 IPs with open ports I got 5 working socks proxy servers. I think it is good, because I scanned a small IP range. If you want to get many HTTP/Socks proxy servers, you have to get somewhere good proxy IP range and port list. Good luck with proxy scanning!
